...the National Invitation Tournament, that is.

Cincinnati, Connecticut, and Tulsa have completely pissed down their legs when presented with the opportunity to make the big dance down the stretch. Houston's computer numbers are too weak for an at-large bid. Temple is the only tournament-eligible team that has proven it can consistently beat the "top" teams in this conference and will likely win the tournament -- and possibly take the AAC's only bid this season.

This is an embarrassment.

UCONN really embarrassed themselves tonight, and CINCY slid on to the bubble. One or two bids at best, but right now I am not sure I could name who they are.

Tonight sealed the league as a 2 bid conference IMO.

If Cincy beats SMU they're in. Preferably, UC beats SMU, loses in their first round matchup, Temple wins their next two games (please don't lose either one) and UConn wins over UCF. If all of that happens, short of so major upsets and a bad/AAC disrespecting committee that's three teams in. Tulsa and/or Houston needs to get to the final and that could be 4. And if Houston or anyone else beats Tulsa in the finals, that's 5 altogether, maybe 4 if a team gets squeezed out.

As I've been saying for weeks though, Memphis has been playing spoiler and if anyone could make this a 1-bid league, it's them, knocking off at-large contenders with each win.

UCONN and Cinci didn't piss anything down the drain. If they had lost to Florida schools or Tulane I could understand. Instead they lost to better teams this season. It's OK to recognize someone having a better season than your team. I know people think it's cool to be a troll here but it makes it look really bad when ones team doesn't back it up.

The second point that many of us have said (especially Houston fans) is put us in the same conference as you and you will be dominated. I'm not knocking any of the accomplishments of the former Big East members only that some of us happy to be here and others are truly making the push to be greater despite our combined situation

I'll be very surprised if we make it in,we are nit bound at this point. Houston is considered a bad loss.

No one is trolling Houston. Houston is a solid team. But Cincinnati didn't play like a team fighting for their tournament lives.

Houston (RPI 76) may have an equal shot at an at-large bid at this point. It's a much better loss than your recent loss at Memphis (156).

For the conference I suppose the best case is Temple over UConn, Houston over Tulsa, Houston over Temple.

That gets Houston the auto, Temple 2 more wins, UConn 1 more good win, Cincy likely hangs on to a bid, Tulsa is a long shot then.

is uc - UConn on Friday a "play in" game? could well be.

UH - Tulsa: if one of them at least makes the finals, from that side of the bracket, it could get a bid.

I think the 'merican gets three max - temple (unless it gets destroyed in its first game), the uc-uconn winner, and, maybe, uh/Tulsa, IF that winner makes the tourney finals.

I don't think so, but it's also possible that the Friday UC/UConn game is to avoid Dayton. If that ends up being the case, that's still pretty high stakes.

Y'all are underestimating Lebo, he knows if he doesn't make the NCAAs this season he's gone.
