Me and my wife debated this very thing. To punish a player by benching him really punishes the whole team and seems to punish the fans as well. I understand when there are special circumstances, but sitting Burrell for a game and having that in part determine whether we win or lose does punish the fans of the team. Benching him in a game where a freshman guard gives up a big three in the last minutes does hurt the team.

Does anyone know if Crawford is on track to graduate this year? He could be a grad transfer somewhere else.

I'd be happy if he is serviceable. It does appear that he is going to get an opportunity to contribute right away.
