Rank the Overall AAC Program Hires in the Money Sports
I love the coaching in this conference. When I look at my rankings for who is making the better hires across the board from East (blue) to West (red), what stands out is that the approach to basketball is an obvious weakness of the lower-rated programs. HOWEVER, the programs on the lower strata have also made some very strong baseball hires recently.
So, overall I think we're in very good shape; needing (obviously) to address basketball for programs that have shown their commitment to get better in football and baseball.
Considering those same programs on the lower tier have yet to replace the incumbent coach from their former conference (Lebo, Jones, Conroy, Pastner), one might conclude from their football and baseball hires that it's a matter of time until they make a move in basketball to become more competitive with their peers further up this list (IMO).
Other conclusions: SMU is really making a move to be a leader in the conference. Memphis should be more of a leader. The new ADs at Tulane and UCF have an opportunity to really make a strong move to shape the conference (basketball).
What say you? Which AAC programs do you see as making the best hires in the major sports? Here are my rankings. **Added consideration for baseball and Women's basketball.**

T1.) HOUSTON - Tom Herman and Kelvin Sampson (good baseball hire in Todd Whitting)
T1.) UCONN - Bob Diaco and Kevin Ollie (Geno Auriemma)
3.) SMU - Chad Morris and Larry Brown
4.) TEMPLE - Matt Rhule and Fran Dunphy
5.) CINCINNATI - Tommy Tuberville and Mick Cronin
6.) TULSA - Phillip Montgomery and Frank Haith
7.) NAVY - Ken Niumatalolo
8.) USF - Willie Taggart and Orlando Antigua (good baseball hire in Mark Kingston and Jose Fernandez in WBB)
9.) MEMPHIS - Mike Norvell and Josh Pastner
10.) TULANE - Willie Fritz and Ed Conroy (good baseball hire in David Pierce)
11.) UCF - Scott Frost and Donnie Jones
12.) ECU - Scottie Montgomery and Jeff Lebo (good baseball hire in Cliff Godwin)
