I would think that this could do some serious damage to one's neck!

Maybe but I think it would depend on the blade length dimensions.
Is it 2" long, 3" or 5" long, etc?
Hard to tell how long the blade is from the picture.

Trying to cut someone's head off with a 2" or 3" blade probably could be done but would take time.

Those ISIS blades sure didn't look very long either but They did work or so the videos I wouldn't watch shown.

It's not a very big knife. Seems like it would take a lot of work to nearly cut heads off. That was an extremely violent and bloody murder scene. Pics are out there but I'm not posting them.

Right...no idea on how long the actual blade is. Of course we're also relying on the descriptions of those who wanted to see OJ in the worst possible light when they talk about how bad the cut was.

That's a Buck 110. 3-3/4" blade.

It wouldn't be impossible but it would take a decent amount of time and some level of experience to do it. I've quartered out deer and hogs before with that very knife and similar sized ones but that was because we didn't have a saw or hatchet handy.

Again, that's not the actual knife. I was just posting an example of a folding buck knife.

Simpson was also pretty strong back then and wore gloves which would have caused less pain to His own hands and give a firmer grip on the knife.......If He Did it !

Buck doesn't make a folding knife with a blade longer than 3-3/4" so the discussion stands.

That is generally known as THE folding Buck knife. Unless they're just using "Buck knife" as a general term like "Kleenex". Regardless, that's about as big as a common folding knife gets.

I have a Old Timer lock blade with a 4" blade. I imagine Buck made something similar.

I am sure he did it, though I think the criminal verdict was correct since there was a lot of reasonable doubt. That said, how deep would he have had to bury it, in the heat of the moment no less, for it to not have been found at the time? And considering the way they covered that crime scene, how would no one have noticed a fresh hole and/or whatever was put on top of it to cover it up? That would have taken a long time to do, and frankly would have been about the dumbest thing that can be done. That said, the actions of the officer in question, much like the original investigation, by keeping the knife for all of these years, and breaking the chain of evidence (thank you CSI) would not be admissible, even if he were eligible to be retried.

BTW OJ, THIS is why you outsource this to professionals. Like the Ramsey's did.
