OT University of Toledo Endowment @ $420 million and growing
Here is an article on UT endowment. This is the third largest endowment in the MAC behind Buffalo and Miami but its a lot bigger then all of the other MAC schools. The low man on the totem pole is NIU which only has about $50 million in their endowment.

I'm surprised UT is ahead of OU. I thought both Miami and OU were around $500 million.

UT has done a good job of alumni and donor engagement. The strategy to dedicate resources to alumni and donors in Florida is a brilliant move for the financial future of the school.

BTW. I see nothing in this article about ranking of endowment size only the rate of return the last three years. So if we are going to post about the endowment size of other schools we should provide the source for that as well to be fair

Some schools did not respond. BG is about $188M, EMU is very low.

Very simple, I forgot about OU. How could I forget OU? :) NIU is slightly ahead of EMU at $77 million. They have a lot of small colleges in front of them. What have these schools been doing or not doing the past 100 years to have such small endowments?

The lady in charge of development for Florida was just at our UT event at the St Pete Yacht Club last Saturday. The head football coach came as well as two former UT and current Buccaneer players in TJ Fatinikun and Bernard Reedy. Former UT QB Phillip Ely was there too! Another UT alumni event was scheduled for Sarasota area the next day. Best of all they were free and at a very nice place! When they asked how many of us attended the Boca Bowl half the room raised their hands. UT has done a very good job of alumni development and is doing even better now with these nice events.

Yes, head coach Jason Candle was there! He said he has been recruiting the state of Florida for ten years. Probably why our last class had about six or seven kids from Florida.

Harvard's is only about 70 times bigger. 70 times!

How do you even spend a bad investment's amount of that? Most of it has to be sitting around doing nothing. Honestly, how can a socially conscious Harvard grad with money needing to find a home not see having a room named after you on that campus is not nearly as important as supporting an educational institution more readily available to those trying to climb their families into the middle class? Even Harvard at some point should be saying, "thanks but no thanks, find a more needy place for it."
