Coastal Carolina did same thing 4 years ago. They went from average to winning championships. Smart play imo.

Not sure if that strategy will pay off or not by not tackling in practice...as UCF used a similar strategy last year by not tackling during GAMES!

Yep, less physical fatigue for players over the course of the week makes them fresher for the weekends. I really don't see a huge negative so long as game ability doesn't decline, but the benefits to the health of the players far outweigh even that. I still think football as we know it won't survive the course of my (presumed) lifetime, but actions like this will help delay the inevitable if more teams make the choice.

Game ability actually got better as the players learned how to actually tackle.
