RE: Big Ten Lacrosse 2016
So far Rutgers is 4-0 on the season. A marked difference from the last few years thus far at #16.

Penn State I believe is at 18, Maryland at 8 and Hopkins at 13. Having 4 of 6 teams ranked is the sort of performance-level that was envisioned of this group.

I thought Northwestern's women's team was a bona fide powerhouse. The seem to be rather pedestrian lately.

RE: Big Ten Lacrosse 2016
While Rutgers is much improved from the last several seasons and ideally this is the start of a trend, I find it unlikely they make the NCAA field this year. Not impossible though. RPI wise I believe we're actually only around 30.

Update: Correction we're at 24. Somehow Duke at 7-6 is 17. Doesn't make sense...

Because Duke is in the ACC which is full of strong programs.

Just saw a tweet about the MD women's lax seniors.

"DYK - The current Maryland Women's Lacrosse senior class is an impressive 40-0 at home over their four years!

Senior Day is tomorrow at noon at the Field Hockey/Lacrosse Complex."

Don't know their overall record but 40-0 is amazing.

Don't follow this sport (actually don't even really know the rules), but Ohio State always has an actual Lacrosse game before the spring football game in the Shoe. That meant upwards of 100,000 people saw at least some of Ohio State beating Michigan (not sure how long before the spring game, the lacrosse game went).

Just finished watching Penn State @ Rutgers on BTN. Highly entertaining game. Rutgers had an exciting late comeback for the win! Tough loss for the nits, but good luck to the Scarlet Knights in the B1G tourney!

RE: Big Ten Lacrosse 2016
Compared to a few weeks ago I think Rutgers has a legit shot at making the field of 16, but it's still going to be tough. Provided there's no letdown game against Ohio State and the Big Ten tourney showing is good, there's definitely a shot. Only guarantee is winning the conference.

I think Maryland wanted to create a B1G lacrosse league so they could kick everyone's azz annually. Both the men and women's squads are tearing through the league.
