Democrat participation
Does the lack of interest from those in the Democratic Party in their nomination process spell doom in the Novemeber elections?

Several states are reporting much lower participation numbers compared to prior years. Exactly the opposite is happening on the rep side. Much higher participation.

Does this translate to a lower participation in November on th dem side and a higher percentage of votes for repubs?

RE: Democrat participation
I think it points to the fact that all of the momentum is with the Republians. It is their election to lose.

I also think there is a Trump effect. Blue collar workers and the like are crossing over. A Trump GOP is a true big tent.

RE: Democrat participation
Participation is down because the Dems race is a foregone conclusion. She won the SEC states 70/30 last night with low participation, so if I was a Hillary supporter, did I really need to get out and vote? Obviously not.

I don't think so. In the general, they'll ramp up the race baiting and turn out the vote. Probably won't hit Obama levels, but I don't think it spells doom either.

RE: Democrat participation
As I have posted multiple times in recent years Obama was a watershed candidate. Hillary and Bernie are not.
Contrary to the libs who used to, but not anymore, post that demographics were a lock for the Dems, and then the GOP
took the house and then the senate and will probably take 1600 Penn.

There are some Union heads who are sounding the alarm that a chunk of their members are trending to trump.

And Most of Us don't pay any attention to what They say anyway. Most working class folks are way more than a one special interest agenda. It's almost comical when The Union leaders bring these Left wing Democrat politicians out to the main gates to greet You as You are leaving work while passing out sheets of information on how to vote election day and You see most folks dropping those sheets into the trash cans nearby without even reading them.03-lmfao03-nutkick

This race has been the Republicans' to lose since about 2010. Hillary is not liberal enough, not inspiring, not black, not really anything to make young or new voters come out.

The Democrat politicians and Union Bosses have been in collusion for a long time now and much prefer their constituents be as ignorant as possible - hence, flyers are necessary so the members "know how to vote".

03-lmfao Republican momentum? As for the second part, you should change that to white supremacists but they aren't crossing, they have mostly been in the Republican party to begin with(I mean in recent times).

Wait. Are you talking about Trump race baiting or Hillary? 'Cause we know Trump will be pandering to his white supremacist base.

RE: Democrat participation
Looking through the numbers in states that have had two primaries already, the numbers seem about normal. In the heavily Republican states, about twice as many Republicans have voted as Democrats. In the heavier Democratic states (Massachusetts for example), it's the other way around (2x as many Democrats). The only key state to note is Virginia where 1 million people voted in the Republican primary and only 780K Democrats. Oklahoma was another odd one with 459K Republican and 335K Democrats.

It's still going to come down to the key states as always, and whether people will be excited to vote for Trump or Clinton.

The average (non-public sector) union member is a racist, misogynistic, homophobic, xenophobic, drunk.
