Part of what makes Jones vulnerable to criticism from some fans is his slow paced, defense first approach. Boring to watch and not at all attractive to some kids who like to play up tempo.

100% agree with everything you posted. The reason I put him on the list was NOT because I thought he was in danger or deserving of being fired this year. If ODU falls short of a breakout season with the amount of talent he has coming back/in then the seat could catch fire. Jones could be the top coach in CUSA next year. The discussion just centered around underachieving this year and last years conference play let down. The point of the article was all but about three of those guys could easily coach their way off.

UTEP's coach Floyd may not be on the hot seat from AD Stull's pov but lot's of fans and the tweet from a UTEP blogger indicates he may want to give it up. I hope he does. We need some new blood and more energy.
