USA 7 USM 1 in the 5th with bad weather approaching. Bad night all around for the Eagles.

USM pitching looked absolutely awful, already walking eight in five innings. We walked the bases loaded, then gave up a 2 run single and a grand slam.

WKU beats Belmont 10-4. Moves to 6-1 on the year.

Pleasantly surprised so far with this squad. Wins over Cincy, South Alabama, and Georgia are solid. Only loss in extra innings of game 2 with Kent St. The new skipper is proving his worth already. Home contest against Lipscomb up next.

Sorry I slacked off this week.. Out of the country and haven't had much time. Rice plays SHSU tomorrow night.. hopefully we can get back on track.

I haven't kept up with Tech baseball for different reasons due to previous staff but have taken an interest under Goff. It seems like there has been a lot of top 25 wins by the conference this season. Is this the norm? I realize baseball is a funny sport but it does seem we have some good teams! I thought Tech had a certain chance at a top 6 finish after our start and looking at SP but realizing now that there is some depth in this league. Baseball is my favorite sport so I am really enjoying all the updates from other teams.

Not to be picky but we lost to the Penguins of Youngstown St, but yea close enough...

Amazing what a new coach can bring in such short time....Still early but best start since 2010...

Strike zone was inconsistent but it didn't seem to affect South.

Powers has pretty good movement on his pitches but looked pretty nervous from the start. Millet has good stuff but it was clear when all but one or two of his warm-ups were in the dirt that it wasn't going to go well. We should have had somebody up in the bullpen the second he came in.

And I have no idea why Berry sometimes insists on trying to use Lowery for anything other than to pitch to one or two left-handers. He knows how to use him effectively. Just stick with that.

Just a bad night, on the whole. Didn't look good at the plate either.

UTSA beat UH 3-2. I think UTSA has the best RPI in CUSA right now.
