It's not the best alternative list I've heard (a lot of Coldplay and Kings of Leon), but it's certainly better than nothing.

Wasn't it the same format before it switched over to Bumpin 96?

Bumpin 96 was actually a really good idea until 98.9 switched over to the same thing.

I really like this station. Only place to get some of the new "hipster" type music, I guess they are calling it new alt rock.

The more I listen, the more I'm starting to dislike their playlist. It's a lot of old stuff, so far (Offspring, Chili Peppers, Weezer, Green Day, Linkin Park, etc.). That's fine, but that's not new alternative. The new "alternative" they play isn't the best stuff. I'm looking for newer alternative from bands like Muse, Vampire Weekend, Young the Giant, Modest Mouse, Cage the Elephant, etc.

That being said, it's better than nothing. Hopefully, they adapt some.

Tried to listen one morning last week at work, made it a few hours and gave up after hearing the take me to church song and Amber by 311 over and over again. Most of what I heard is already played by at least a couple of stations so I didn't get the point.
