Did my duty. Voted for Cruz
Well I did my duty, held my nose and voted for Ted Cruz.

Georgia awards 76 delegates, 42 by Congressional District and 34 to those with more than 20% of the vote. Polls indicate Cruz and Rubio are probably over 20%, but could be close.

My district is overwhelmingly Democratic. Who knows, my wife's and my votes may give the 3 delegates to Cruz. There may only be 2 Republicans voting! 04-cheers She thought about Rubio, but like me, just doesn't trust his judgement enough to see him as a president.

A vote for Kasich basically gives more delegates to Trump, so we didn't vote for him. I think he would be the best president of the rest, but he has no path to the nomination. Plus his campaign strategy reminds me of Texas's legendary coach Royal, talking about TCU, who had upset his highly rated teams a couple of years. "They're like cockroaches. Its not what they pick up and carry off. Its what they fall into and mess up." Kasich's campaign manager said he didn't expect much in South Carolina, but he campaigned for votes so that Jeb Bush didn't get those votes. Kasich is basically doing the same thing with Rubio now. So Kasich doesn't want to pick up and carry off things, he just wants to fall into and mess up the campaigns of anybody not named Donald Trump. I can't vote for a cockroach.

So that left Cruz. He's a typical sleazy politician. His uncompromising style is a recipe for failure to get things done as president. But he is intelligent and someone I would trust with his finger on the red button and he is not a cockroach.

RE: Did my duty. Voted for Cruz
I'm still torn between Cruz and Rubio. I want Cruz to win, but I might strategically vote Rubio because his poll numbers are a little better in Virginia and he picked up the Times Dispatch and Daily Press endorsements.

RE: Did my duty. Voted for Cruz
I pretty much decided yesterday. I did sit and think for a minute before marking the ballot. Did I want to vote for the cockroach? Did I want to register a protest and vote for Jeb Bush (the ballot still had 13 names-even Pataki)? But I decided I needed to vote for Cruz.

This felt like the most important vote since I voted for Ronald Reagan in 1980. I really fear for our country's future if our choices are Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

Everyone in a state voting today, do your duty. Its important.

It ain't over until the fat lady sings. Nobody is singing yet. Don't let the media tell you who has won and lost before you've even voted.

I also went to Vote, was there right before 7am. Republican voters to the right, Democrats to the left. The Republican line was at least 3 times longer than the Democratic side.

I went later, about 8:45. Only 1 other person when I got there. Only a couple came in while I was there. I'm in a county that voted 80% for Obama. Didn't look like Democrats were real interested. The biggest crowds are normally early and late, but there are usually some people there in between.

I thought about going after work, but have other things to do. Plus, my polling station is less than a block from where I live.

RE: Did my duty. Voted for Cruz
I had the baby with me this morning and it would have been too much of a pain in the arse to bring her to vote. I'm going head to the polls on my lunch break to avoid the evening rush. Will probably decide when I'm there. Still not sure what I'm going to do other than take the GOP ballot and not vote for Trump.

Hah. No polls at my polling place. No drama, either. My county is redder than Buford T. Justice's neck, but folks don't politic much around the church where I vote.

Did you vote, stink, or have you moved past? Wait, does Mississippi take part in Super Tuesday. I should know that ... :)
