In one of the other threads, mention was made of how well other C-USA baseball teams had started this season. Here are their records to date, and their W-Ls versus who they've played:

FAU: 7-0 -- S. Dak. St. (2); Miss. St.(2); LIU Brooklyn (3).
USM: 7-0 -- Eastern Ill. (3); New Orleans; Northwestern St. (3).
ODU: 6-1 -- NC St.; Kent St.; Appalachian St.; Norfolk St.; Manhattan; Delaware. Loss: Va.Tech.
WKU: 5-1 -- Youngstown St. (2-1); Cincinnati; South Ala.; Georgia.
LaTech: 5-2 -- Prairie View, Southern, ULaLa, UT-Arlington (2-1). Loss: New Orleans.
UTSA : 5-2 -- UConn (2-1); Sam Houston St.; McNeese St. (2-1).
Charlotte: 4-3 -- William & Mary (1-2); Toledo (3-1).
Mid.Tenn: 4-3 -- Indiana (2-1), Lipscomb, West.Mich. Loss: Army, Miami (Ohio).
FIU: 4-4 -- St. Thomas (Fla.); Seton Hall (3-0). Loss: Ole Miss (0-3), Missouri.
UAB: 3-4 -- Ark. St. (1-2); Ohio (2-1). Loss: Troy.
Rice: 3-5 -- Arizona (1-2); Dallas Baptist; Tex.St.. Loss: Arkansas, TCU, ULaLa.
Marshall: 1-5 -- Fla. A&M (1-2). Loss: Liberty (0-2), Coastal Carolina

Rice has, by far, played the most difficult schedule to date. And, it is reflected in our 3-5 record.
On the other hand, we schedule these teams because we expect to be competitive and win against the best.
Or not.

ODU is 1-1 against the ACC and FAU beat Miss St twice (their only losses so far in a very weak schedule). WKU also has a win over Georgia and Middle Tenn over Indiana, so at least C-USA is showing they can beat middling teams from P5 conferences...early in the year but positive in my view.
