The BSU/EMU refs are totally calling it one sided in favor of BSU. They f EMU in the first matchup and now they are f'ing them again. Unbelievable.

Want me to buy tickets to Cleveland? It'll never happen

RE: Refs
They've been dreadful, but I don't think it would matter today if they gave us every call. BSU is carving us up.

From what I see, the refs are the least of Eastern's problems.

RE: Refs
The tech on Lee for tapping the ball back after a bucket was ridiculous. Players knock the ball back towards the baseline after the ball goes through. Why did they need to call that a T?

But yes, we still would have lost without all those 1st half fouls.

Emu played terrible (Murphy's defense is no challenge for a team knocking down 26 footers) and let over-controlling refs get under their skin. The refs were bad but it's no excuse.

And, yes, I'm still pissed about the game fro a month ago.

RE: Refs
As one of our posters, a very knowledgeable one, noted, the refs seem to be baiting JT4.

When I think of Ts, I think of muggings, F bombs, etc. not slow dancing with the opposing center, etc.

That particular violation is almost always dealt with by refs with a warning. Then if it happerns again, the team is assessed a technical foul, deservedly so. If it was the first time it happened and they gave a T, then I would be upset with the refs because that is not the way it is normally handled. Of course, the rule is clear and it they want to call a T the first time, they have the power and the right to do so.

RE: Refs
BTW, I had a friend who lives in No. Virginia watch 4 minutes of the re-play:

(3) Thompson clearly elbowed the Ball State player; I can only assume the announcers were correct that he failed to come back for a talk with the referees; the announces can hear and see what is going on much better than those of us watching on TV
(4) the 2nd technical seemed quick and to me should have been a warning as opposed to a technical; if so, there would have been no technical on the coach; but maybe a warning had already been given and this was the second violation

(points one and two in his e-mail had nothing to do with the referees).

The elbow could have been a common foul or warning.
