Graham is no longer running for anything currently so he can put away his conservative costume and go back to being Liberal Lindsey. He'll break out his conservative costume around August of next year since he's up for re-election in 2018.

Dole endorsed Rubio.

Cruz has alienated everyone in the Senate, and much of the House. Maybe in four years if he runs again, he'll learn he has to make some friends ahead of time.

Dole endorsed Rubio, but said he was open to Trump as the nominee.

Most impressive thing about this election cycle is how so many politicians with no futures in the GOP are sucking up to Trump. First Palin and now Huckster and Christie.

Or how about, maybe they believe in what Trumps' saying?

I believe Palin and Christie both like most of what Trump's saying ( a lot of it echoes their previous statements).

Huckster... well, he'll just hitch his wagon to anyone 'til FOX takes him back on air.

To be fair he hasn't faced much in the way of competition.

In 2002 he was unopposed in the primary. In 2008 crooked Buddy Witherspoon was his primary opposition. In 2014 the only candidate in the primary with any kind of record was State Senator Lee Bright and he would have been worse than Lindsey. Nancy Mace was who I voted for but with no political experience she was facing an uphill battle. IMO she should have run for the House seat that Mark "Argentina" Sanford holds first and built a record.

As I have stated many times I expect that will change in 2018 because Nikki Haley will term limit out of the Governor's Office.

Good grief. They really clear the decks for the dude. But, do you think Haley will actually challenge him?

Unless she gets a VP nod there's nowhere else for her to go. Tim Scott is too popular, as is Congressman Joe Wilson in her home district. I doubt she's going back to the State House at this point....and the power brokers in the SCGOP don't like Lindsey, as witnessed by his many censures from county parties.

The world has truly been turned upside down. The Republican Governor of New Jersey, an oddity unto itself, goes to Texas to endorse a prototypical New Yorker for the office of President of the United States. Who the hell would have guessed that?

It just shows that as much as the Republican Party leadership is mortified of Trump, they absolutely HATE Cruz.

Cruz REALLY has torched a ton of bridges within the party. The underrated aspect of this is that Cruz hasn't just made the moderates and establishment-types in the party angry. Instead, the big issue is that he has terrible relations even with the Tea Party/Club for Growth-backed Senators that are generally in complete ideological agreement with Cruz. Why? Because Cruz has spent several years throwing even the most conservative Senators under the bus in the public and press as "not being strong enough to stand up to Obama" despite everyone knowing full well that they can't repeal Obamacare and other measures just by "trying harder". I saw one quote from a Tea Party-backed Senator (once again, NOT an establishment moderate) that said that Cruz's statements over the years has meant that his constituents keep calling to blame that Senator for not repealing Obamacare and other completely unrealistic measures. That REALLY has made even the most conservative members of the Senate pretty hostile to Cruz and why you have seen 100% dead silence from his Senate colleagues.
