La. Tech bitched hard enough that they changed it this year.

As of February 28th, if the tourney was held today, we would get the winner of FIU/Rice. These two have only played once this season with Rice winning 86-70. I would think that we would get Rice in our first game. Old Dominion would get the winner of FAU/ UTSA, who would play Marshall on Thursday.

I think league officials were a couple of cases deep in a game of quarters when they came up with this horse-poop and gun-smoke...pretty sure that's how C-USA ended up with the FU's also...

Was the University of Phoenix or some Truck Driving School already spoken for or what?

The Rice-FIU game was in Houston. I don't think Rice would beat FIU in Miami. If they play against each other, I would favor FIU.

We need WKU to either finish 7th or 10th. That's a tough draw if they're who we play in the opening game.

Here are the remaining schedules for the teams tied for 2nd:

Marshall:
La Tech at home
USM at home

La Tech:
@Marshall
@WKU

MTSU:
@FAU
@FIU

My prediction is Marshall goes 2-0, La Tech goes 1-1, and MTSU goes 1-1. If that's how it shakes out MTSU would finish 4th after losing the tiebreaker to La Tech. I really don't want to see Marshall or La Tech in semi-final. I would feel pretty good about a rematch with either MTSU or ODU in the semi-final.

I see MTSU going 2-0, and la tech beating Marshall.

That said, I think this is the first year ever I don't care who we face. We can beat any of them. Of course we could lose any of them, but odds are we knock off whoever we meet.
