If Pearl has had "huge success" (?), then Pitino is much, much huger. The gap that exists between Pearl and Pastner, is about the same gap that exists between Pitino and Pearl. Two NC's. Seven F4's with 3 different schools. They're not even in the same league. And Pitino is actually not that much older, I don't believe. He's just been doing it at a high level for many more years, and didn't get a show cause slapped on him during his peak.
True, Pitino has had more success than Pearl, but both are successful. Pitino has done it at Kentucky and Louisville, while Pearl has been given much, much worse scenarios. Still I can't argue that Pitino has been more successful.
I think it's yet to be seen if Pearl has "peaked" yet.
The guy just likes to nitpick and argue. He knows Pearl hasn't coached at a job that can get to a final four yet. He took Milwaukee as far as they have ever been and UT as far as they've ever been. Auburn is a dead end job. Next to Ole Miss probably the worst in the SEC.
Funny that you keep leaving out PROVIDENCE from Pitino's resume. But don't let facts get in the way.
BTW, the whole point of dropping the mic, is that you are finished. Better not to drop it, if you keep coming out to pick it back up. That just looks silly.
PROVIDENCE has a rich history. Ever hear of Dave Gavitt? Marvin Barnes? Ernie Di?
Big East school and at the time the Big East was on a roll.
What else you got?
Think about it over lunch ol buddy
