All you guys said that Norvell was the front runner to be football coach too. I'm glad I pay nothing to be on this site because I get my money's worth.

That's what a little birdie told me

Think about it

Saying that Forbes has too good a team next year to consider Memphis job (paraphrased) is ridiculous and an early, unnecessary negotiating ploy because Memphis will not get that far down the list.

John Martin’s take: If Memphis wants a realistic hire that will immediately rejuvenate the fanbase and translate into improved season ticket sales in the short-term, Penny Hardaway is the hire. Hardaway is royalty in Memphis as a former player, he’s still relevant nationally because of his shoe, and he’s Penny effing Hardaway"

Hire Penny now

Only as an assistant in my opinion .

No coach in his right mind is hiring Penny as an assistant.

Why can't people understand this?

Ok, i've listened to this long enough. Spoke to a couple more Tiger fans today who mirrored the "Hire Penny" sentiment. It's not going to happen. It can't happen, for the sake of the program. No, just no!!! Forget his past problems with law enforcement and rumors. Let's focus on the fact he is not coaching material. Whatever it is we desperately wanted to see in Pastner, Hardaway definitely, absolutely does not have 'it' either.

I don't follow...we will get who we want before we get to Forbes?

You're the only one to keep bringing up the "law enforcement" problems he had as a teenager, 25 years ago. Give it a rest, man.
