RE: Temple vs Tulsa Game Thread
I think I should note, TU had a Tulsa HOF / All-American pass away who beat the Michael Jordan and North Carolina in 1982 but unlike UCONN, there wasn't a 10 minute long oratory by our coaches or staff about it. It was mentioned briefly and that's the way it should have been. We could have had Nolan Richardson come an do a long interview about Steve Harris (Nolan does love to talk) like the Huskies did with Calhoun... but we didn't, because we're not stuck up basketball elitist A**holes.

I believe the name Cincinnati was derived from an ancient roman soldier named "Cincinnatis". Is that correct? Kind of interesting how some of the states and cities names evolved. Most of the towns in eastern Oklahoma (the old Indian Territory) are native american including "Tulsa".

Glad to see you back on the interwebz via your neighborhood community library.
FYI, SMU and Tulsa are #1 and #2, respectively, for conference records in basketball since joining the league.
As my old grandpappy used to say, "Suck it Jerry! TUL$A > Cincinatti."
