The schools that play the most weeknight games do so because that's what their program wants, not because the conference is dictating it.

WMU's last two home games in 2015 were MACtion games (BG, Ball State).

FWIW I did find it surprising that we did not have at least one home November MACtion game in 2016. Your theory could be correct, but considering WMU's final five regular season games last season were midweek games (at EMU, BG, BSU, at NIU, at Toledo - make that four of the final five games if you don't want to count the Black Friday game in that group), maybe the MAC simply decided to ease up a bit on WMU in 2016.

P.J. has openly embraced the MACtion games as showcases for the program, so it would surprise me if WMU is suddenly asking the MAC to ease up. (That may - or may not - have been the case in the past. I'm not sure about that.)

true, but 2015 was an anomaly. not counting 1st and last week of the season games, here's a list of all non-Saturday home games for WMU since 2002-

Wed 11/11/2015 v BGSU
Thurs 11/5/2015 v Ball St
Tues 11/6/2007 v CMU

That can't be by accident.

:(

Stop whining....

Ohio has only 4 Saturday home games. The Bobcats also play their last 4 games either on Tuesdays or Thursdays..

No one is actively trying to screw NIU...

2 weekday games at Ohio every year and leading the conference in attendance average......

MAC Football Schedule Announced
Phil Steele tweeted that the MAC's toughest conference schedule for '16 is KSU whose opponents in '16 were 40-24 in '15.

Second toughest is Toledo whose '16 MAC opponents were 37-27 in '15.

There is a tie for easiest MAC schedule in '16: BG and CMU whose '16 opponents were 29-35 in the MAC last year.

What did KSU do to annoy the football gods? (or the MAC office).

Scheduling EMU would help change those numbers... Lol.

Are they playing the '15 versions of those teams? Oh, they aren't? This argument is useless sports radio talk. Teams are different each year especially in college fb when ~20% of the roster turns over each year.

MAC Football Schedule Announced
It will be interesting to read discussions of football for next season with no reference to how teams did in the past.

I will be surprised if there is that much change in the top 3 teams in each Division.
