Bracket predictions this week
Lunardi still has us as a 15 seed, playing North Carolina in Raleigh (uggh)

CBS Sports has us as a 14 seed playing Utah in Denver.

And to give you an idea about RPI, Lunardi's first team left out is St. Bonaventure, who has a RPI of 33. The last team he has getting in is Alabama who has an RPI of 48.

What is our rpi now compared to where we finished after winning the cusa tourney last year? It's hard for me to fathom getting the same seed as last year given how much better our record is this year. I do realize that the rpi might be similar due to our horrible schedule..

85ish at the moment. Wouldn't expect it to move much more than 10 spots even if we win out.

Our rpi was well over 100 last year. I find it hard to believe we will be a 15 seed, but a 14 isn't out of the question given our computer numbers. I think a 13-14 is where will we end up, and I'm okay with that. 13/14 games give you a chance at winning two games.

I would think we'd be a 13 seed instead of a 14/15.

According to rpi wizard if we win out and play Charlotte, la tech, and mtsu in the tournament we would finish with an rpi of 63.

Thank goodness the troll from Philly doesn't get a seat on the committee.

I'm pretty sure these "bracketjackoffitists" are simply looking at CUSA as a one bid team and saying the CUSA representative will be a 14 or 15 seed based on the conference rank. So they plug UAB, the conference leader into that spot.

The committee will look at the team that gets the autobid and seed them according to their strengths as a team, not as a conference. That might get us a better seed, especially if they rely more on the "eye test" and past performance than they do RPI and Strength of Schedule.

They give extra consideration to teams that win reg season and conf tourney.
Hoping we can claim that.

Jerry Palm has UAT as an 8 seed...they are going to lose at UK and to someone else before its over imo

Which is why " x person has us as a 15 seed right now vs Dayton ) is pointless.

Its pointless if you take it as fact. It's not if you are looking at a barometer of what people are thinking.
