Here is a link to Michigan's requirements to obtain a concealed carry permit:

Did the Kalamazoo shooter have a permit? I do not know, but I doubt it.

I know, this is a stupid post, but so is blaming guns, wanting to ban them and turning everything tragedy into a flipping political debate. Know object has ever did anything without a person to cause it tondo something. A car or truck can't move without a driver putting it into gear ahd pressing down on the accelerator. Likewise, a gun can't do anything without a person pulling the trigger.

This shooting rampage wasn't like the typical mass shootings we saw. Do you know the one thing in common at almost all of the mass shootings that havd taken place in this coubtry (schools, theaters, government buildings, post offices, etc)? Weapons are not allowed! The person/people holding the weapons don't have to fear being shot at when they start shooting. You all must have never heard of the black market. You ban automatic rifles and any gun of the sort and tye criminal will still find a way to get one and use it.

If you don't want to stahd and be a man and be able to defend yiur family, friends and neighbors that's your choice. But, do not infringe upon your neighbors right to stand and defend his family and property while defending you and your property!

Do I own a gun? No!
Am I in the NRA? No!

But, I do know the script to lead a nation to socialism, then communism starts with mandating government controlled health care and disarming the honest law abiding citizens. Maybe you all forget the living conditions, long lines for a few loaves of bread and the severe poverty of the Russian citizens during the Soviet Uion days. Or maybe you forget the hundreds of thousands of Cubans trying to escape the rule of Fidel Castro and his communist rule, only to end up drowning trying to make it to Florida, or getting turned around and sent back to Cuba only to be imprisoned for trying to leave the country. Maybe you forget that in a communist society the government owns everything and can kill you for no reason at all.

You take away a person's right to own a gun legally you take away their right to defend and protect themselves and in the hour it takes for law enforcement to respond to a domestic situation a lot can happen. Do some research, more people are killed in car accidents than by guns, so lets not stop at guns, lets ban cars too.
So, you want someone shooting back at a shooter in a dark and crowded theater? Yeah, great idea. Nothing could go wrong with that. 01-wingedeagle Btw, most of the time, the last thing the shooter in these cases cares about is being shot. Most of the time, they just don't care if they die or not.

Is it better to be gunned down and slaughtered like sheep with no ability to defend yourself?

Either scenario is horrible, but at least one you have the ability to defend yourself and others.

You can do the same things by restricting voting rights, blaming minorities for America's problems and by the way our capitalistic society left many American households bankrupt in 2008 due to their greed and fraud. There is socialism in American, raises taxes individual taxpayers to give tax breaks to business, corporate tax loopholes, tax credits for jobs, outright subsidies, the government not charging fair value for user fees, cutting taxes for a few and increasing the debt that all taxpayers have to pay back these are just a few examples.

RE: Shooting in Kalamazoo?!?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm sorry I haven't responded but my only living parent/grandparent was a grandmother and she passed away yesterday at 11:00 am and I just don't have any energy or will to debate to argue. Life is just not worth it. I lost my father and mother before I turned 38. My dad passed away 10 years ago this past weekend and that was the last death in the family until yesterday. So, I'm sorry but, to me life is far more important than arguing and debating.

Anyway, have a warm and safe day. I'm heading to southeast Pennsylvania before returning for a Saturday funeral.
