Looks as if CMU has 2 freshmen in contention for the all MAC freshman team. They seem to go with even a younger lineup than Toledo, yet they still currently lead the MAC West by 2 games and actually took Ohio into overtime before losing. There is still about 1/3 of the season left but at present Sue Guevara is making a strong case for Coach of the Year---right up there with the Ohio coach.

With 2 freshmen and 2 sophomores carrying most of the load (along with one junior and one senior) it appears likely that CMU is probably going to be at or near the top spot in the West for the next 2 years.

Therefore the game tomorrow (along with the return visit later by CMU to Savage) should tell us not only a lot more about how UT stacks up in the West this year but also perhaps give us a bit of a preview of what the competition for the top division spot may be like over the next two seasons.
