RE: I was strong on Josh's bandwagon for 6.5 years and then,
If he stays another year, the games and going out in public will start to get uncomfortable for josh. Believe that. People are sick of him as coach. It's starting to get personal to long time tiger fans. Giving him this year was a super big mistake and at least 70% of the fanbase agreed with that before the season started.

It's painful to watch his recent interviews. Everyone in the room is looking at josh like he sucks as a coach. He is sitting there thinking "dayum, i suck as a coach and they all know it". Yet they ask awkward yet still polite or thoughtful questions when everyone in the room knows what the real problem is. No one really says it though. Just gets left unsaid once again.

He needs to be terminated as soon as the season ends and someone eats that 10.6 million mistake or at least salvage what you can.

If he is here next year, there seriously might only be about 2 dozen people in the stands.

If he is here next year, I will not renew my tickets. This year they served as place holders, but not again. And I am sure I am not the only one. They can't afford to keep him.

Pastner rode the wave of the Memphis brand, Top 10 facilities and support, Memphis kids, and a crappy conference to a 70%+ winning percentage in his early years.

It was all fool's gold.

Look at my signature for the score since we joined the AAC that includes his BEST team.

Imo, the u of m made us go through a year of hell that we didn't have to endure. It was so obvious josh should have been fired at the end of the last season ( some of you will say before that). The lawsons were coming here regardless. Hope we didn't screw that up too. Whatever money the u of m ends up paying pastner is what they would have paid last year.

Don't forget that next year will also be a year of hell all because of Pastner.

Likely no NIT or NCAA for 2-3 more years.

The talent is on this roster to win right now...

Just need someone to teach them how to play.

We won't have this roster next season. Woodson, Crawford, maybe Dedric and then a whole bunch of freshmen and sophomores. Probably not much of a recruiting class so, not going to have any experienced talent unless Dedric stays and he can't do it by himself.

New guy will get at least 1 senior transfer, probably another 1-2 transfers who may or may not be eligible next year, then 1-2 jucos. A couple of signing day surprises maybe. With a handful coming back and new energy - who knows.

Paz might do that in a scramble to 'win now' but to me new guy will have a couple of years to build. He will be able to afford to recruit freshmen and let them play.

I think he'll be willing to suffer the growing pains to try to build a solid foundation.
Paz ran all his players off and destroyed the foundation of the program. He would not be given the time to go back and fix his own problem but new guy will.

It's not going to be much fun but it's probably the thing to do. If we don't make exactly the right hire we're done for awhile.

Agree. New guy will for sure build the team off of HS recruits. I was just talking about closing the gaps short-term that we know we will have.

Also, transferring is the name of the game these days. On average, each team will lose a player and get a player every year. So we can continue to expect to play that game to a lesser extent. The problem with the current state is we tend to lose 2-3 players. So we're always playing catch-up.

Based on what the roster will likely look like, this is spot on.
