Poor Bob Hoffman....He should have stayed in the ASun instead of following ETSU into the Southern. More Buc games for Bob and his head might explode.

Well we've shut out the bottom six teams this year. Let's get some wins against the top 4 now.

I really hope we don't see UNCG in the tournament. They are dangerous.

In my basketball world view, assuming adequate talent (which was present), a team "deserves" to win with both proper effort *and* proper execution. There certainly was no lack of effort, but our execution was pathetic for considerable stretches - excluding Gwyn the whole game and Bradford the second half.

Also....I wish there was a stat that showed how many guys have had career nights against us the last 8 years. Must be some unbelievable number. (Tonight it was Brown.)

Rather amazing that Lester has passed Rembert on the ETSU all-time scoring list (for 12th?). But I guess Rembert didn't put up many big numbers 'til he was a junior (without looking it up). Congrats to Lester Wilson.

How bad was our rebounding? Desonta's 7 was more than double anybody else.

Early in the year - very early - there were 2-3 occasions where Forbes played both Banks and Jurkin at the same time, and it seemed to work remarkably well. Yes, that leaves us short a shooter, but seemed like Ike was able to do very good work playing his natural 4 position. I think that combo should be tried in times like today when we're woefully getting killed on the glass.

If you'd like to look at it like that then so be it. At this point in the season I think it comes down to wins and losses. We can all compare stats until our eyes hurt, but at the end of the day, with conference play winding down, its who gets the W. No we didn't play perfect. Have we during any game this year? No. But, our guys have the tenacity and heart to pull out wins down the stretch.

So close to 1st, and yet, so far away. Chattanooga would have to lose two more and the Bucs win out from this point. Rats.

Well, I guess poor execution is shooting 48% from the field, 50% from 3 (14 3s), and 69% from the line, on the road, in a game that was well attended and in a place it's been tough to get wins over the years. How could it be that our execution is poor for 'considerable stretches' yet those are our numbers offensively? I just can't agree w/ that. I know we were outboarded by 10, but we actually out rebounded them by 2 in the 2nd half. I'm sure the argument will be "Well, if it wasn't for Guyn..." Sure. But he's on our team.

How can you not be ecstatic for the future of Desonta Bradford?

We swept the bottom 6 of this league, something we haven't done in what - a decade (including the years in the ASun)? How many times did we lose a game @ Stetson, North Florida, Upstate, etc, when those teams were absolutely awful?

I get it - someone on here always has to "rain on the parade" with their distinctive, critical eye, that no one else appears to have. Every stinking time. Hell, I'm surprised someone hasn't come on here and regretted we dumped Bartow @ some point. This is Forbes' first year, and the Bucs have an excellent shot at a runner-up regular season finish and a reasonable shot in Asheville. I'll take it.

You got to be kidding me.

Whining and taking cheap shots at the team and the coaches for winning a game on the road and in front of a sold out hostile crowd.

Last year the Bucs lost to every bottom team. They have not lost to any bottom team this year.

The Bucs control their own destiny and can finish second in the league. Bucs have a legitimate chance to win the SoCon, a far cry from where the Bucs were last year.

Bucs don't deserve to win, Guyn wouldn't be as good in a structured offense.....total nonsense.

There are times to be critical and there are times to give praise. Today is a praise day.

Great win Bucs.

I do think some are being a little over critical, but it's okay, that's what message boards are for. We should really appreciate how far we have come since Bartow was kicked out the door. Guyn is a very special player, and we are winning close games. We just get it done. Something ETSU has struggled doing for years.

Enjoy the ride, it's almost over.

Yes indeed. I get frustrated also with some of the post play but really the coaches and players are doing a great job. I am so proud of them I just wish I could tell all of them. These next two home game should have Freedom Hall rocking!

I don't think I've ever seen a coaching staff adapt as well as Forbes et al. Their flexibility and understanding of matchups has been the difference in several games.

Yes! Please make sure to heckle the **** out of Furman, especially after what their fans did to our guys. Eye for an eye.

People are talking about Stokes and Holley getting into the game, albeit briefly 2 and 3 minutes but nothing about the fact Benny didn't get in at all? Did I miss an injury or something? Normally those 5 minutes would have been his.

Also I am sure that all this game proved to the Mercer fans is that being short two of their best players that ETSU doesn't belong on the same court with them. I mean last time we beat them the fact their leading scorer got in foul trouble led to the loss and just showed how much better they are
this game just proved it!!
