It was a great game. Nic Moore is without a doubt the player of the year in the AAC. Ollie seemed to have a gameplan to keep the ball away from him as much as possible. Luckily it worked tonight.

Felt like an old big east game. Thank you to SMU. That was fun and i cannot wait for the return game. I'm sure SMU fans feel the same.

Great game. Two great national programs. Congrats on your second win over us since we have been in this league. We are committed to this sport in every way. You will taste it in Dallas very soon.

Congrats Huskies. Y'all did a great job inside tonight making it really tough to score. Looking forward to the next one and I hope you make some noise in the dance!

Anyone who thinks they've clinched (including uconn) is wrong.
Committee proved last year that they're not big fans of the AAC. Teams need to keep looking at every game as a must-win and not give any reason to be left out.

Yes and no. UCONN could tank the rest of the way and be left out, but I think their resume is strong enough to get an at-large if they go .500 the rest of the way out and no conf. tourney title. You are right in the sense that all the AAC teams are flawed as shown by the results of the season to date. A win in every must-win situation certainly offers guarantees.

Temple should not have been left out last year.
That said, their BPI was in the 60s, and if you look at the seeding from the last couple years, it corresponds precisely to the BPI.
UConn's BPI is at 22.
No losses below #61 Temple.
Top 100 wins over Texas, SMU, Michigan, Tulsa, Ohio State, Georgetown, Memphis.

Congrats UC. I was hoping UCONN could get the split, but I'm not mad that it helps the Bearcats' post-season resume.

aac folk don't want to comment on the UC/UCONN game...the two conference big boy programs went head to head in a sold out 5/3rd on espn2 and not a word.
if it was any two other teams it would have been discussed
I think most everyone has accepted and is bracing for our two programs to exit stage left

I'm going to go down the conspiracy theory road on this one. I think the order came down from on high to make sure the AAC has as many tournament-eligible teams as possible. It was quite obvious in the 2nd half the refs were trying to squash any attempt by UCONN to get back in the game, calling perfectly timed fouls just when UCONN was getting on a roll. If Cincy beat Tulsa a couple of days ago do I think the refs stick their nose in this game as much as they did? No I don't. But Cincy didn't and the refs did.
Before someone blasts me for being a sore loser, UCONN had no business winning the game with the distinct lack of offensive rebounding and no scoring touch to speak of. It's also very telling that Cincy was trying to give the game away despite UCONN's shortcomings. I don't think Cincy gets out of the 1st round playing like that.
