Very appropriately named poster.

That's an absolute false hood. I know one big whale that's willing to pay him off and another who is willing to help pay for the new guy. The one guy was willing to buy him out after last season but was overruled.

One advantage to JP getting year 7 is the % of people who now KNOW he ain't the guy. If the cord had been cut last year there would have been a pretty large contingent beating the 'should have kept him' drum.

At this point, if he's let go, there will only be a handful who will think it's a bad move.........

I think there is a lot of truth in that for sure. And now, as you said, it's time.

Yep. The only reason to keep him another year is to save someone a 2.6 mil payment. Well actually a years salary for the next coach since that's actually the savings

RE: Sounds like he knows
If he could just admit that he just isn't cut out to coach D-1 basketball instead of making all of these excuses, people would have so much more respect for him.

He keeps rambling about how hard it was to take over for Calipari, but the top recruits that you got were mostly due to the Cal era. He seems to forget that.

Not really. Do you really care about the opinions of people too stupid to make up their minds after 6 years?
