- Wide ranging lawsuit that has a lot of hail mary's (linking Manning to it, Lil John, and a player that was never charged with a crime) in it. IMO, trying to settle before criminal trial this summer.

- The more that comes out about the alleged "victim" who has changed her story and been called a serial litigant by a judge, the less credible she sounds. One of her recent Facebook rants could possibly open the door for Peyton to sue her.

- Former player as of Dec. No previous issues to my knowledge, but apparently he has some serious issues going on now.

- Been on campus a month. #1 Juco DT I believe. Just happened within last 12-24 hours, so not much info out there other than the official charges.

She's sued him already (and probably lived to regret it), but the recent resurgence of this story has nothing to do with her. Some in the media found it and ran with it.

Actually, she made some bat crap crazy comments on Facebook about releasing new info to the press and made some other allegations...she then deleted her account but it has been detailed with screen shots by Clay Travis on OKTC/Fox.

Hell, she recently had to be investigated by the FBI for threatening phone calls.

Update: The DL arrested the other night...looking like the alleged victim is not going to be pressing charges now. It was reported by VolQuest, likely the more reliable of Vols sites, that the witness and victim had some holes in their stories per sources close to the investigation.

I have no idea about the merits of this lawsuit. But , the refreshing thing is we are talking about the Feds as opposed to the mickey mouse NCAA world of justice.
In the NCAA world, some require iron clad proof in order to receive punishment. -- "We really have no proof that Cam N had any knowledge of these illegal payments"
While others live under the umbrella of bullsh-t "strict liability"

Jones just released a pretty strong statement saying that allegations against are false and that it will be reflected as so in court.

If you come out strong like he has, either he is telling the truth or else he will leave them no choice but to fire him with cause, thus meaning no buyout. If it were true, the smart thing to do would have been to stay quiet and hope it is settled out of court so that narrative can be controlled.

According to police reports the players admitted to calling Bowles a traitor and assaulted him. If the players felt that way it's logical that the coach felt the same way. Even if there is no evidence of Jones telling Bowles that he had betrayed the team it seems that he knew of the incident and apparently didn't discipline the players for their actions. That's probably enough to get Jones canned.
