Yep..
One was an a female that accused Von Pearson of rape last spring/summer, but after a few months the DA decided to not pursue after the accuser's story changed on more than once occasion and there were no other witnesses or evidence (from what I have read).
The other is strange. It is the girl that, a few days after the lawsuit was filed, claimed she was assaulted last week. It was reported by some media, citing law enforcement sources, that her story had "holes" in it and witness' were not reliable. Two days after he was arrested, she declined to press charges (I think the DA can still pursue)....She has now quickly jumped on the PR train.

Utk still sucks though.
She's sued him already (and probably lived to regret it), but the recent resurgence of this story has nothing to do with her. Some in the media found it and ran with it.
Actually, she made some bat crap crazy comments on Facebook about releasing new info to the press and made some other allegations...she then deleted her account but it has been detailed with screen shots by Clay Travis on OKTC/Fox.
Hell, she recently had to be investigated by the FBI for threatening phone calls.
Update: The DL arrested the other night...looking like the alleged victim is not going to be pressing charges now. It was reported by VolQuest, likely the more reliable of Vols sites, that the witness and victim had some holes in their stories per sources close to the investigation.
Peyton Manning exposed himself to this woman and has twice settled out of court with her. Claimed he was mooning a teammate who denied it. No more Mister Nice Guy. The guys a creep.
It seems there was more to Peyton mooning, he moved his "stuff" to touch her in the face. There was a settlement, and everything was to be confidential. Peyton mentioned the incident (1 or 2 sentences) in his book, another settlement.
Since it's been 20 years, why bring that up?
This mess with Butch Jones and the former player, it's a he said, he said situation. Why would the player lie? He transferred to UT Chattanooga soon after these events.

I think she has sued him 2 or 3 times, and he settled every time.

With the ongoing lawsuit, it's to establish a trend that the athletic department over there looks the other way when it comes to stuff like this.

That Von Pearson story is seedy. I've heard rumors that the DA had exculpatory evidence on Pearson, or at the very least knew that they didn't have enough evidence to convict, yet the DA refused to dismiss the charges in hopes that Pearson would flip on A.J. Johnson. Bad stuff.
