The Browns surprised him today by announcing that they will build a statue of Jim Brown in front of First Energy Stadium;

Can they convince him to come out of retirement and lead them to a good season? Next to the Lions, they are the worst franchise of the Super Bowl era.

This off season-(Business Season) is the biggest since the reboot in 1999...they have the #2 Pick...2 QB Available...they can't blow it like they did in 2014 by passing on both Derek Carr and Teddy Bridgewater later in 1st Round and earlier in that 1st Round passing on OBJ & Khalil Mack.

They will with compensatory picks should have 11 Draft picks...it is up to the new management of Sashi Brown, Paul DePodesta-(coming from the Oakland A's/NY Mets with his analytics genius) and Head Coach Hue Jackson...they can't be worse than Ray Farmer/Mike Pettine-(utter disaster especially picking Justin Gilbert and Johnny Manziel).

They're the Browns. Not much more can be said. And I thought the Texans were bad, they at least find a way to be mediocre and win about half their games every season.

RE: Happy 80th Birthday to the Greatest Football Player of All Time
A lot of people forget that Jim played in only 9 NFL seasons to achieve some incredible numbers:

Rushing yards: 12,312
Rushing average: 5.2
Rushing TDs: 106
Receptions: 262
Receiving yards: 2,499
Receiving TDs: 20

The 5.2 rushing average is pretty mind blowing. He retired at age 29 in his prime to pursue an acting career. Looking back on it for him, and the fact he has made it to the age 80, that was a good move from a health and preservation standpoint.

That is a funny way to honor Jim Thorpe.
