RE: OT: Game of Thrones Discussion - Potential Spoilers Warning
Holy shart, great episode! My thoughts:

-Definitely award-winning battle scene....and the one on one bastard fight w/ the arrows and Jon's shield was great! Did anyone else feel like they were actually suffocating as Jon lay under all the bodies...I felt like I was going to pass out watching that scene....INTENSE! Good seeing Tormund give Smalljon Umber a free-folk beating!

-I was really hoping we'd see Ramsey die at the hands of Wun Wun, perhaps seeing him literally pound him into the ground. We NEVER saw a giant do that after Ygritte mentioned it. Is that definitely the last of the giants?? We need more giant action! We must see a giant pound a man into the ground!...but Ramsey's pit bull death was very fitting. That bite on his face was great! Sansa's smirk was priceless. I don't have a good feeling about Sansa once again teaming up w/ Littlefinger...but it saved their lives so who knows...

-Did anyone else feel like a little lesbo-action might take place between Yara and Dany??? Hmmmm...I got a little vibe there haha. Also good to see some actual Dothraki horse battle action. I'm still confused about the Dragons burning boats (or one boat?)...did they just burn that one boat because it had explosives in it or did they destroy more boats??

I agree with the suffocating part, I had a really bad feeling about that scene. My girlfriend was too upset watching it, starting when Rickon died. She was going to lose it is Jon didn't survive.

I think they only burnt the one to send a message. They are also low on ships so anything they could take would be beneficial. They had killed the two other masters and spared the one to spread the word that Daenerys Stormborn was not to be f***ed with.

The no raiding might be an issue.
It's pretty much how they survive. Not a lot of farm land or room for cattle to feed.

Sounds like a import/export solution.

Queen Dany says no Ironborn stuff. What do they export? Salt? Stone? Seething hostility? Maybe send Damphair out on a speaking tour giving drowning lessons for cash?

According to book lore, Balon's father Quellon was all for closer relations with the mainland and a transition from reaving to a less-barbaric means of existence. To my knowledge though, the show has been pretty quiet about whether or not the Iron Islands has anything that the rest of Westeros actually wants/would be willing to pay or trade for.

I think it's pretty clear that ships would be their main export.
They've devoted enough time with them to boil it all down to using their boats. I'm guessing that's their new source of income.

I was under the impression that the Ironborn favored longships whereas the rest of Westeros at large preferred galley varieties. There are exceptions (Balon's Great Kraken galley among them) but I wasn't under the impression that the Ironborn were skilled enough at making that kind of ship to sell them for profit.

Yeah I was assuming boats would be their main export. Seems there are is only one or 2 large scale suppliers and they're both owned by the same person now.

Maybe they can export quantities of iron. Considering they are called the "Iron Islands."

I got a "little vibe" too and I liked it. Sorry...couldn't resist.

FWIW this Sunday's episode is the top ranked GoT episode ever. On IMDB it has 50,000 votes and an average ranking of 10.0/10.0 (WOW!)

Is Emmy cute and what does she smell like? Flowers or candy?

Just a few questions:

Was Wun Wun really the last living Giant? I hope not...

What are Euron's plans first and foremost? Is his main goal to go find Yara/Theon...or is he still gonna try to shag up w/ Dany?

What are the sand snakes doing now...what do you think their plans are??

How is Dany going to control all three dragons now? I thought she had them chained because they kept getting into mischief (killing kids and people's farm animals)...or will she not be able to?

What are Benjen/Bran/Meera up to now? Are they still going to the Wall to "meet the Night King"...that's what Benjen told Bran.

What are Jaqen's plan right now and what role will him and the faceless men play when winter/big was has finally come??

I think Jaqen has played his role in preparing Arya for whatever she is supposed to do. I imagine it will be substantial to have gone through all of that just to conclude she needs to get back to Winterfell. He was just a chapter in her story and I doubt we see him again unless it is a flashback she is drawing a lesson from. But who knows.

Chances Arya shows up for dinner at the Twins? 50/50

Also, got to believe the trial in Kings Landing will heat up and go anything but smoothly.

Varys is either on hand for the trial or in Dorne.

Excited to see what the White Walkers/Others are doing now that winter finally arrived.

Pls do not kill Jaime, Arya. I will want her to be eaten by dogs if that happens. And I do think Kings Landing trial will "go up in flames" ... maybe literally, too. I wouldn't be surprised if Varys ends up in Dorne; they both seem boring lately. Winter is here; in the promo for ep 10 there is a white raven signalling the change in seasons. Uh oh!!

Jamie won't die till the end. Maggie the Frog told Cersei he has a job to do first.
