A lot of those schools went to the Big East before us. I don't know that we have jumped them all since then.

Don't know about jumping anybody, but UofM football, academics and facilities have improved since the Big East effort and for the first time, geography is an asset instead of a liability for us. Market size is an important factor that we have no control over.

All true and I would have to think corporate support and sponsorship will play a HUGE role for Memphis in particular if we are to be seriously considered. It is an aspect that UM has to have as part of our desirability.

While the Big 12 taking #Memphis and #Cincinnati is a good move, there are so many reasons to take two more and reach 14 total teams.

We're not discussing NCAA berths / seeding, might as well enjoy this fantasy for a while, so long as we know it's pretty far fetched...

If they don't stop stalling Cincinnati will be ACC bound just like Louisville.

Don't sleep on Cincy and UConn to the ACC. With the rumor floating that the B12 is trying to poach some ACC schools, the ACC might do it as a preemptive strike.

The ACC is obviously more proactive, so their taking a couple of others wouldn't surprise me at all.

ACC is at fifteen members (14 for football).
