Do they go with Memphis? Maybe one of the Florida schools? The only other option I think would be Colorado State out of the MWC.

The shifts this time around won't be as dramatic as in the past. I don't see the AAC scrambling to add anyone if they lose a member or two. It does make things look promising for Wichita State though, should they add football back. It should free up a space or two in G5 conferences that they could potentially fill.

The idea that the other Texas schools do not want Houston is message board mythology. It has been repeated so many times people start believing it. There is no real evidence to back that up. Actually Ken Starr at Baylor has been puching foir the Coogs since TCU got in.

Just putting this here. If you read the article, you'll notice the writer seems to not recognize there is any difference between G5 and FCS. He states plainly this kid had no P5 offers or "major" offers, and then basically compares Central Michigan and NDSU as equals. Of course, thats not what the article is about, but I imagine we will see more and more of this perception. If/when the P5 split you may see the G5 and top FCS teams who are willing to pay COA and 85 players just merge.

E-mail that writer and explain it in a FORCEFUL but polite way.
