I've always like Nova. Go Wildcats.
Nova to us is like Cincy's Xavier but they don't own us as bad as Xavier owns you
UC owns the all time series vs XU by a long shot
the past 15 years XU has really hurt us
49-34 all time series lead for the good guys.
thanks for posting...I was too lazy to go find it. lol
49-34 UC
UC owns the all time series easily
As I said, XU has really been our daddy however in the past 15-20 years all in all. I don't have the record during the last 15-20 years but I know XU is leading during this span.
When I first attended UC, XU was in the MCC against a bunch of schools most people never heard of. They advanced to the A10 and now the Big East. They have built a first class arena and have a history of hiring good coaches (Gillen, Prosser, Sean Miller, Thad Matta, Chris Mack) that go on to bigger programs only to be replaced by another good coach. Their fans are clowns who look down upon UC as the 'big stupid state school'. They used to really rip us with the whole catholics vs convicts deal. However, since Mick took over UC we have had ZERO issues and honestly, XU has more players now that fit that bill than we do with Mick but for some reason the 'thug' schitck still applies to UC when in reality XU has some thugs. Anyway, hats off to them for really ascending in the college basketball world.
They still have zero final fours, have never been ranked number one and have zero national titles. And as Bob Huggins used to say, as "Until the city changes its name to "Xavier", UC is THE University of Cincinnati.
Hmm.... "Xavier, Ohio".... it's got a nice ring to it.
