NIU up by 6 at half. Looked pretty good on offense. Really struggled on the defensive rebounding front, odd for this team.

I don't know about that man. They are just young and not polished, the effort is there....as the record indicates.

Yeah, I'm not sure the struggles from the youngsters on D are simply "effort" issues. Sometimes we simplify defense way too much because it's hard to quantify. It takes skill and experience to get really good at it.

BG is just the more aggressive team tonight, maybe effort not the right word, preparation? ready to play? want it more? interested in the game? It doesn't matter what word you choose its just completely different than what we have seen in year's past with energy level

It easy for MM to upcoach defense for his players. It is more difficult to upcoach shooting. Bright future.

Yeah, I wasn't disagreeing with that or disagreeing with the plan, but don't expect Pagua to ever be a fantastic defender and I don't think it's just an effort/caring issue.
