He doesn't always hustle back on D, doesn't always close out shooters, and takes dumb fouls. There are games where he is great on that end, but not nearly often enough. If he wasn't such a dynamic scorer, I don't think he would be playing. Murphy has no choice...he's one of the few guys on the team that can create his own shot.

Then this is an indictment on Murphy for playing Lee if he believes the player will take plays off. Murphy should not let him step on the floor regardless of his offensive ability if he feel Lee will play defense occasionally.

I did not see this from him his first two years but I have seen him a little frustrated. Without Lee, EMU has no chance at winning 3 more games this season. Murphy should recruit another player to take Lees spot because Mangum can not do it.

We did fine without Lee for the first six games of the season. EagleSam has Lee's MO career wise down pat. The previous seasons if you recall right and its documented in the Eastern Echo Murphy would not play Lee because "he wasn't into it" based on his pre-game warmups. Frankly I'd be happy to see Lee transfer or whatever and get a player in here that may be less talented but gives 110% all the time. By the way if Lee were to transfer be aware he already carries a "problem child" label. Again I'm not blaming Lee solely for this team's troubles. I would have loved to see Talley and Ward with Thompson because they would have better leaders in terms of helping younger players. This is really lacking on this year's team meaning an on floor coach/leader like Talley was when he was here.

"We did fine without Lee for the first six games of the season." Where do we get these guys? That's right! We didn't need Lee vs Madonna! We did just fine without him!

This season is cooked. Murphy really should move on.

RE: Game Time: @Ohio
Season is not cooked. Every game left on the schedule is winnable (except maybe @ Toledo). Win our home games and pull a slight upset at Ball State, and we are 9-9. Not what many of us expected after the CMU game, but still not terrible, considering we have one true big man.

Ohio is a really good team. We got blown out because our best player lost his cool and got ejected. That can't happen, and Thompson needs to learn from that. I admire how hard he plays and that he plays with emotion, but he needs to harness it so it doesn't hurt his team.
