Lil' Penny better be able to do more than be able to relate to his players. Does he even have any coaching experience outside the AAU circuit?

Yeah, He's a high school coach.

Fast forward 5-6 years and Memphis is splitting the city apart by having to fire a beloved sports hero, just like with Larry Finch.

That would be a terrible hire.

Larry Finch? Penny would only be a step above hiring Clyde Drexler at UH. We were just discussing that on Coogfans. I said he should have been named a special assistant and recruiting coordinator while a real X's and O's coach is the head coach. I suppose either way could work but you need both unless I'm underestimating Penny's coaching skill.

No doubt and FTR I didn't totally buy it but I didn't dismiss it either.

I had lunch with our assistant athletic director a few weeks ago and I asked if it was possible to ban fans of my own school

Maybe can make a new school, put them all together. Call it tiger pony tard tech

All fanbases have some of those guys, some more than others.

I'd put the really knowledgeable Memphis and some ECU folks on this board against anyone else's from objectivity, knowledge, fairness standpoints.

I believe that Penny would not be a good choice as Memphis' head coach for numerous reasons.
