Say what you will about what happened at Ohio State, but Tressel remains an immensely popular figure. His name alone will bring more folks to this than last year. He's currently Youngstown State's President, for those who weren't aware.

Creighton and Tressel have a professional relationship, and if I'm remembering correctly, Tressel suggested Creighton for the job here.

Surely a university president has better things to do with his time.

Nice cheap shots Cowman and EagleHawk. Lets see players and coaches are spending more time in community involvement visiting VA hospitals etc, CC is on a tour visiting troops overseas,. Nice of you guys to question his integrity. Maybe you should talk him one on one and tell him that.

Lucky, I suspect that there are lots of successful coaches who couldn't succeed at EMU.

As for his character, I believe he is a genuinely good man. Coaching at this level brings out the worst in people though.

LJM, I didn't want to predict anything about the number of wins next season but I like some of the additions made to the team. I will defer backing up why I believe we will win 5 games for a later time.

I have talked to Coach Creighton and his energy is definitely to be admired. Once he establishes EMU as a MAC Football power, all of us will amazed on how far we came. It will be so much sweeter proving the conference naysayers wrong!!!

You can criticize his football coaching at EMU (fair game) but to attack his character when you have maybe never met the man, talked to him or know him seems pretty low and unfair to me. And he seems to get good coaches and strength coaches to come and work with him.

I asked a simple question. The friends that one has often says as much about one's personality as outward behaviors. So, I think my question was valid.
