The only thought I have is that he is/was worried about his minutes (or, lack thereof), but if a full or even an almost full recovery is expected, he would have been a huge asset to next year's team.
Shame for everyone involved...He was here for all the CR_P...He and we deserve the just rewards...and, he'd likely get them.

The health is the big thing, he is not healthy and that will never change. His injury is a chronic one, I think it got to the point where the pain threshold was just too high for him to get through and be effective.
