Subjective lists are subjective. I think Mister was a faster player because of his superior court vision and all-around skills, but Tim Smith was the fastest player with the ball that I can remember seeing in the mid-majorish level.

I personally dont' remember Frankie King being "quick"...not saying he was slow...remember him more as some a strong powerfully built guard.

He didn't get the press and was certainly not anywhere near as good but my money would have been on Eric Palmer being as quick as either Smith or Jennings.

Mister didn't have the floor-length speed of Tim Smith or some of the others, but he was lightning quick in every other aspect. That's one reason he is the Bucs career leader in steals, and why he could swoop by anyone trying to guard him.

Among Mister's myriad skills, I am glad this article notes one that is often underappreciated. He could throw the alley-oop from virtually anywhere on the court and every time it would arrive in the perfect place, at the perfect time, for the recipient to slam it home.

And no one could put a game to bed better than Mister. With a late lead, if he had the ball in his hands, you simply did not worry. He would not lose possession, and when fouled, he would not miss the free throws.

I was too young to have the pleasure of watching Mister in person, but the highlight videos always impress. I don't think ETSU will ever have a better all-around PG, though I certainly hope the future proves me wrong. I also doubt we'll ever see a better alley-oop combo than Mister to Talford.

I did get to watch Tim Smith growing up, which was fun or frustrating any given play. Now you see him, now you don't!

True that. We have sorely missed that since his era. Very glaring absence during the bartow years, even with Tim Smith.
