South Alabama football player suffers stroke
Sad situation... South Alabama enrollee Romello Riley was working out in his hometown of Ocean Springs, MS when he suffered a stroke due to a blood clot in his brain. He is paralyzed on the right side of his body and unable to speak. He has been in critical condition the last few days but is showing some signs of progress. It's almost a certainty his football career is over, but his health is more important, so if you're the praying type please lift he and his family up. Riley was a JUCO transfer enrollee.

Prayers to the family. This is always incredibly sad for a life just getting started.

RE: South Alabama football player suffers stroke
Were they unable to get him to the hospital in the window for post-stroke treatment or was it unable to be helped by the treatment?

In any case, extremely sad news to hear. My father passed away from complications following a stroke last year...they're terrible things. Hopefully he bounces back from this, even if he's not able to play football, but so that he can still receive his education and live a long, healthy life.
