Lester Wilson likely to finish 2nd for ETSU in made 3 pointers
Lester Wilson will likely finish his career with the 2nd most made 3's in ETSU history. With 255 made 3’s for his career, he’s currently averaging 2.2 per game in conference shooting .443.

At that rate, he will probably finish in 2nd place on ETSU’s all time list - between Rashawn Rembert (260 made 3’s on .395 shooting) and Courtney Pigram (276 made 3’s on .341 shooting). Lester’s career shooting percentage is .360, compared to Pigram’s .341 and Rembert’s .395.

If they had 3 pointers back in Tom Chilton,s day, and if he had played 4 years instead of 3, he would be way ahead of everyone.
The guy could fill it up from long range. I think he was the best shooter ever at ETSU.

Better than Skeeter Swift?

It's hard to compare from different era's. Even within the 3 point era, we have seen real changes in how the long range shot is used. The 3 is valued more than ever now, in the days of Stephen Curry. Guys early in the era were not as likely to put it up from beyond the arc. Now the conventional wisdom is that you should either shoot a 3 or a layup, and midrange games have been devalued.

But, yeah, guys like Chilton and Swift were great and would have been even better with a 3 point line to shoot from.

The basketball statistical gurus have proven that, in general, the more 3 pointers you shoot and make, the higher your probability of winning becomes. Building a team around multiple 35%+ 3 point shooters is the best way to go right now.

The game we lost against Furman, they scored 40 points in the paint, 18 from 3pt range and 16 from the line, no mid range game at all.

Mid-range shots are the toughest to make. For the Bucs, T.J. Cromer has shown a knack for knocking them down. That ability makes him our most complete offensive weapon.
