Those were some fun times. Memphis State is obviously lost without Louisville.

Closest ive ever come to getting my ass whipped, The first year we had the tourney in Biloxi, I felt brave one day after a good bit of brown water. I stood up from my row 1 seat and looded UPWARD at Felton Spencer and told him, "the only reason your playing basketball is your too tall to work in the coal mines."
LaBradford Smith had to get off the floor from laughing.

Lol, I would say that that was probably true his first couple of years in college. Who would have thought that he would make the NBA?

Not only make the NBA, but stay in the NBA for 12 seasons.

Feltoid.

Amazing ... He was one year ahead of me in high school, and I remember our JV team beating him, with our tallest kid at 6'3". Felton was so uncoordinated then, but if he got it inside, he was dunking it. He finally grew into his body. And lasted for quite a while.

Spencer and Rondo, both former Eastern Eagles. and both made it to the NBA one through UL, One through UK. Pretty good for a Non Basketball factory.

At least 1 member on the UofL investigative committee disagrees with the post season ban!

http://www.courier-journal.com/story/new...80427578/#

Professor Ricky Jones, chair of the Pan African Studies Department, said there was no vote on the matter and that Ramsey made the call himself about the team sitting out the ACC and NCAA tournaments.
In an interview, Jones also said there were no startling revelations in an update on the NCAA probe that was provided to the university the day before the decision was announced.
“There was nothing we saw that implicated anyone but Andre McGee," Jones said. McGee was the former director of basketball operations whom Katina Powell has accused of paying $10,000 over four years from 2010 to 2014 to entertain prospects and players.
Jones said there was no evidence that anyone besides McGee knew that money was being paid to Powell to provide entertainment to parties, or any proof the money came from university sources.

When has any extra-benefits scandal involved money from university sources?
