WTF Cares about speculation?? He's there NOW! Just like Herman is at Houston, right now.

It's amazing that you think a hypothetical is a basis to slam someone.

You're a douche with no brain.

You said that Charlotte to ECU is not close to a lateral move, which is ironic because that may be true but only because going to ECU could be a downgrade. I posted why in that thread.

Then you got mad because I compared UH to Rhode Island and Duquesne. I'm sorry you think this is the early 80's and Houston is putting out draft picks each year and competing for the national title but UH is a mid-level/upper-tier program (in D-I) right now and nowhere close to elite. Rhode Island is a fair comparison given what each team has done over the last 25 years or so and fan support in general. Duquesne may have been a stretch but not by much. UH has a rich heritage but we have to slowly get back to where we were.

I'm, formerly, Caltex2, a staple on the C-USA boards before coming over here.

What I said was that Sampson would never consider working at a Rhode Island or a Duquesne.

This "we" stuff should stop. If you have an ounce of dignity, you'll just stop.

I usually like a good debate but you're a child.

The one thing SMU can do to help the league since they aren't going to post season is win games outside of conference. Good job Ponies!

Why wouldn't he (compared to Houston)? He kinda fell into UH's lap, as he was an assistant with the Rockets and didn't command a supersized salary like he could have. He didn't have to uproot his life and move again. The recruiting area and UH's legacy was a bonus.

And a URI-UH coaching connection wouldn't even be unprecedented, as Tom Penders was a URI coach and eventually wound up here and even had a notable tenure at a notable Big 12 school (Texas) like Sampson (Oklahoma).

As for your "dignity" comment, I bet you couldn't even name as many former UH players as I could without going to Google. I've been following since Alvin Brooks was leading 11 win or fewer seasons. I didn't exactly get to enjoy Phi Slama Jama.

Once again, in turn, you prove why trying to debate with you is pointless. You rarely ever make an argument, just cop out "I win the argument" posts. We never even get to a point of saying we can agree to disagree.

RE: Anyone watching the Zags @ Ponies?
If you refer back to post 17, he called me out and reignited an old feud. The only reason I responded the way I did was because, like the last thread, he called me out then when I refuted merely went "bah humbug, I win the argument."

And honestly, if you're defined by having to have the last word like that and "win" a debate, by all means have it.
