RE: UC/ECU game thread.
The body language this team plays with is just terrible. Everyone looks like they just rolled out of bed on a Sunday morning about 11, and playin' a little pickup game against some other kids that wondered into the gym. And as if there's nothing at all at stake.

Good lord Quadri Moore should not have a scholarship let alone actually log minutes. He must go in the off season.

UGH another freaking ugly ass win against a terrible opponent. That should be Mick's motto.

They kicked Tulane, USF and UCF's butt pretty good. At this point, I'll take the win regardless.

Yep, and all of those teams are garbage.

I was commenting on your point that they struggle against inferior teams. Not always this year. Would you rather they struggle and lose? They've now won 6 of 7 and 8 of 10.

I never said that, so don't put words in my mouth, I said I get frustrated and it bugs me. I don't when we are playing better opponents.

I like this team. I think they play hard, especially the interi3or. The Achilles Heel is the 3 point line, because we do not have great length at guard. In the end, we should be sweet sixteen this year.

This sentence would be just as true if Justin Jenifer were interested for Quad.

That's par.

ECU, UCF, USF, Tulane...these are all basically "Par 3" holes. You're not going to get a lot of credit for just beating them. Basically, you're going to have to dominate them from tip-to-buzzer if you want the "hole-in-one." (Eagle) Even then, you're not going to get a lot of credit.

It's a par. Take it and move on to the next hole.

Yes I get that. Do not care if he gave us a double eagle today. My point is that he used the golf analogy before (emphasis added).

RE: UC/ECU game thread.
Sorry guys, as well as ECU shoots the ball I don't see the Bearcats winning at their place. A ten win AAC bottom feeder comes to 5th/3rd and plays even up until the final few minutes. I'm glad for the win but it instills no confidence that this UC team can go win in Greenville, Houston or Tulsa, much less sweep those games for a strong finish. UC created some great open looks today but just couldn't score. ECU got some great open looks from three because of UC's lack of defensive intensity. This team's lack of focus on the task at hand and style of play suck the energy out of the home crowd on a fairly consistent basis.

What's worse, I flip on Channel 5 and they're doing an extended live postgame report from Indianapolis on the X game. I can't remember the last time local TV did a live remote from one of the UC conference road games. This has not been a pleasant season.

I get the angst, but we are in position to put ourselves in the tourney. If we do not win at Houston and Tulsa than we probably do not belong. Both of these games will be difficult, but it would not be any fun to watch if the outcomes are determined.

Took us long enough to pull away, I was beginning to wonder if this was going to come down to the end. Glad it didn't.

Gary Clark is already a stud. He's going to be an All American; possibly as early as next year

Yep, agree. Just looking toward the future. Was talking about Mick's All-Americans with some fans...hopefully you are right.

Agree, I know he put on some muscle this year, but he still does not look all that big, but good lord if he is not the strongest guy around the basket finishing and snagging rebounds. Love his effort and his expanded game.

RE: UC/ECU game thread.
If UC makes some open shots early in the game we have a blowout in the first half and the game is never close. A 15 point win in conference play is always a good win. Move on to Tulsa and UConn this week. Need at least a split the keep at-large bid hopes alive. Yesterday Michigan, Wisconsin, Texas Tech, LSU, and Alabama picked up huge victories and probably move ahead of the Cats for the moment. The more I look at things the better I feel about UC's resume when compared to the non-power five at-large candidates. Cincinnati's resume is better than VCU, George Washington, St. Bonnie, Wichita State, Gonzaga, and SDSU. Providence, Seton Hall, Butler, UConn, Temple, and Tulsa all similar resumes to UC at this point. Once again it very difficult to sort out the PAC-12 and the ACC until the season ends. Even those schools that picked up monster victories yesterday still need to continue to win.
