UH baseball new field house!
In the next couple weeks UH will break ground on a new fieldhosue for the baseball team complete with a indoor batting cage, player lounge, and training area with hot and cold tubs. Below is the presentation of the facility delivered to administration with renderings. The baseball field is also being name Schroeder Park after a major donor.

Darryl & Lori Schroeder ("Shray-der") donated $4M for the baseball project. They own Lone Star Construction, who will build the project.

Supposed to be finished by this September.

I know I'm knit picking but I wish they just called it Schroeder Park. I don't get why our athletic department always has to go with long names for our facities. Like TDECU which does not flow of the tongue smoothly.

It will end up being called Schroeder Park by most people. The athletic department has done a good job picking up good money for naming rights.

I agree, I'm not a fan of the long name.... But, money talks...we'll take the it!

BB facility looks awesome! A lot of overdue changes taking place on Cullen Blvd. It's a great time to be a Cougar. Go Coogs!

Yeah ours is technically Greer Field at Turchin Stadium, and everyone calls it Turchin. Congrats on your new facility!

RE: UH baseball new field house!
I've heard that the batting cages are not going to happen. Apparently too much $$$ and not enough space. The old batting cages will remain which means tennis/Zina Garrison Academy won't get that space and their plans have to change and be scaled back.
