RE: Game Day (a day early): Kent
our defense was great today. our two forwards (Naz & Bond most frequently) played much lower and closer to the paint today. i couldn't figure out if that was a change in defensive philosophy or a reaction to Kent shooting so few threes. how was it against CMU? i could only listen to that game so i don't know how the defense looked.

They played farther out towards the top of the key. They getting quicker getting back to the corners when the other team makes the pass to it.

THAT SAID, regardless of the record, if we are good (win or loss from the BSU game) we'll show in the tourney, provided we get a home game.
That will be the test: IF BSU costs us a home tourney game, we've been hosed big time.
IF it is simply the difference between 8 - 10 and 9 - 9, the world won't end...
I predicted a .500 season this year due to all the new parts an many of us predicted a conference record of between 8-10-10-8. To me this is a season for us to build on for the big push next year.
