What does that have to do with acting out of line on the Congressional floor nevermind it was during a POTUS speech. You're reaching and grasping at nothing.

Democrats did the same the same thing and in some instances far worse than what Joe Wilson did.

One example please. Thanks.

Not really. What other elected official regardless of party has ever interrupted a presidential speech like Wilson did? Maybe someone did but I can't recall it ever happening in my lifetime or ever seeing reference to it in any historical accounts. That isn't nearly the same thing as some partisan on a political show or in a newspaper interview saying that Bush should be tried for war crimes.

As long as you excuse the behavior of the Dems, what Joe Wilson did was very much IN bounds. Unless you think Obama dressing down SCOTUS justices while they forced to sit there and take it is above board? Judging by your post here, I'd say you think excoriating SCOTUS justices = Good. Joe Wilson dropping a truth bomb during the SOTU = Bad.

You are assuming too much. I've never said once that I approved of that. I've simply said Joe Wilson's behavior was way out of bounds and by any reasonable standards it was.

So you're excusing Obama's behavior towards the SCOTUS justices?

What behavior...you know...the example I asked for? Sorry, I'm not going to assume what you're talking about as you guys have a way of inventing things. Sorry.

But let's fast forward 7 years from that SOTU and decide who was right? I rest my case.

A person who can barely remember yesterday is trying to have an intelligent debate. That explains a lot.

They said it happened to them. Maybe it did, maybe it didn't. What does that have to do with Obama.

And where did I pretend that Democrats were saints anyway???

Don't need a clue when you don't have a selective memory. You might be the biggest "But Bush..." user on this forum. I only say might because Fit trots it out a good bit himself.

My US representative Blake Fahrenthold
My US senators Ted Cruz and John Cornyn
My state senator Juan "Chuy" Hinojosa
My state representative Todd A Hunter

Not very impressed with any of them; especially State reps. Corpus is a mess. Since I haven't voted for these guys but once I can't get all into too much detail.

However, the TX legislature follows Abbott's lead like dogs on a leash and, as a woman, that pisses me off no end.

They want to repeal everything that smacks of strides made in the past 50 years. I can't support any of that.

RE: Do you like your US Representative?
Kinda fitting with this thread that I saw this today

http://townhall.com/tipsheet/katiepavlic...5-n2116878

Quote:Remember this moment from 2009 when President Obama was trying to reassure Americans that Obamacare would not benefit illegal immigrants?

"There are also those that claim our reform efforts would insure illegal immigrants. This too, is false. The reforms I am proposing do not apply to those who are here illegally," Obama said.

"You lie!" South Carolina Congressman Joe Wilson shouted out.

Well, it turns out Congressman Wilson was absolutely correct. According to a new report illegal immigrants received nearly a billion dollars in Obamacare subsidies last year, a far cry from being barred from using the government healthcare program.

Illegal immigrants and individuals with unclear legal status wrongly benefited from up to $750 million in ObamaCare subsidies and the government is struggling to recoup the money, according to a new Senate report obtained by Fox News.

The report, produced by Republicans on the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, examined Affordable Care Act tax credits meant to defray the cost of insurance premiums. It found that as of June 2015, “the Administration awarded approximately $750 million in tax credits on behalf of individuals who were later determined to be ineligible because they failed to verify their citizenship, status as a national, or legal presence.”

The review found the credits went to more than 500,000 people – who are illegal immigrants or whose legal status was unclear due to insufficient records.
Keep working America, bloated and irresponsible bureaucracy depends on it, as do those who are in the country illegally.

So you're excusing Obama's behavior towards the SCOTUS justices?

When did I excuse that? I never did.

Every time I ask you about it, you immediately point to Joe Wilson to excuse said behavior.

I'll ask again, do you excuse Obama's excoriation of the SCOTUS justices at the SOTU. You know, the one where Justice Scalito shook his head and mouthed not true re:Citizen's United.

You have that backwards. Joe Wilson was the subject and you and others keep trying to turn it to others.

Once again refusing to answer the question. Do you excuse President Obama's public dressing down of the SCOTUS justices in the 2013 SOTU? Judging by your refusal to answer, the answer is a resounding "Hell yeah, I excuse it! I wish he'd done it more often!"
