But that first half was great! And those refs had it out for us!

Unfortunately, it's no longer unexpected. I no longer really expect us to win games and am pleasantly surprised when we actually do. But it's now kind of "ho-hum" when we lose.

You got to admit we're seeing some incredible basketball. I don't think I have never seen a team shoot 69% in a half.

Gave up 58 points in 2nd half. Hard to do in a college game.

I always wait to see the first 4 minutes of the second half before getting excited. The first four tell me everything I need to know about adjustments or the lack thereof.

But we played really good defense in 2nd half... gawd I hope I never see us play bad D.

We're close to being really good though.

How much closer do we need to be?
Watching SMOO and Tulsa; totally different type of game.
Nothing like organized basketball. Shame Memphis can't have it.

Rowdy crowd was too much for our players to handle. Road wins are hard.

Going back over the last 4 games:
-Against UH we had an 8 point lead and lost by 8
-Against UC we had a 15 point lead and won by 4
-Against UConn we had a 1 point lead and lost by 20
-Against SMU we were down by 12 and, well...never mind....

When I saw we only had the 8 point lead, I knew it wasn't enough.

It's been that way for the last 7 years. How the people who negotiated that ridiculous contract didn't see it is beyond me.

This is the most inexcusable stat. With the talent level and the athleticism on this team, nobody (and I mean NOBODY) should score more than 70-75 points against us.

Any team with the talent these guys have should be able to play defense. Poor defense is a sign of one or a combination of the below:

coach that has lost control
coach that is too stupid to understand the importance of defense
coach that is just lazy or doesn't give a damn

I could understand getting beat 68-59 or maybe 70-62 occasionally. Maybe the shots don't fall or maybe the offensive talent is lacking.

But this team should not be giving up 98 freaking points in a game... to anybody.

That is all on the coach.

And as of today, is still the head coach.
I will most likey just not even watch any games if he is back next year
