I had trouble finding the times we played Southern Miss before 95-96. 45 is the correct total but I counted 42 when using sports reference's site. If anyone has pre CUSA game info please share. Thanks!

BlazerGold, MB is the resident board historian. On stuff like this it will probably be faster to just PM him directly as he is a walking encyclopedia of such things, and has written any number of articles on Blazer history.

I get it. There are many sources. I had used sports-reference.com in the past because it's extremely quick and efficient and I also write about the other teams in the conference a lot. It wasn't until recently I've discovered there are some holes in their earlier schedules.

When I was made aware there was a digital version available I blew it off in disappointment. I think it's owed to the fans and alumni to have a physical copy available. I'm certain it's expensive, but, can you really put a price on our history?

I'll use both Blazernation and the digital media guide from here on out. Thanks for the input, all. Much appreciated.

Plus the media guide is still incorrect in many places. And Sports Reference has an incorrect page or two also. MB's stats are more accurate.

We played 34 games that year. Only 32 games are listed in the scoring totals.

Tonight and Saturday have worried me since conference play started. Tonight is the #1 example of a trap game. USM always plays us tough in Hattiesburg.

i wasnt trying to be condescending...i think there are a lot of people that dont realize the online media guide is there (i admit that it can be a pain to search)

KenPom.com has it UAB 68 - USM 61.

Southern Miss did beat ODU in Hattiesburg, right after ODU won at LaTech and broke LaTech's home winning streak. They also beat FIU on the road.

USM is all over the place, and apparently very inconsistent. If their 3-point game is on tonight, look out. UAB has to stop their 3-point threat.

That's surprising, Kev. UAB has failed to break 70 only once in 11 CUSA games. I suppose it's due to his formula factoring in length of possession. Southern Miss wants to squeeze the life out of the game.
